“Every little girl loves to dress up, and I was no different. I didn’t know it then, but those moments were stitching together the foundation of my future.
After completing my post-graduation, life took a turn. I was working in an IT company when I got married. A year into marriage, I became a mother. Like many women, I chose to pause my career to care for my newborn.
But soon, I realised that staying idle was not in my nature. I was grateful to be a mother, but I also longed to reclaim a part of myself that I had put on hold.
In college, I had once dreamed with a group of friends about starting a boutique. Life, however, had other plans. We graduated, and each of us drifted into our own worlds.
But that dream never left me. It lived quietly in the background, waiting for me to come back to it.
And one day, I did!
With a baby in my arms and a heart full of ambition, I enrolled in a one-year diploma course in fashion design. It was far from easy. There were sleepless nights, endless feedings, and moments of doubt.
But there was also fire in my soul. I wanted to create something of my own, something beautiful, something that made me come alive.
I learned the fundamentals in class, and I taught myself the rest. All through hours of YouTube tutorials, trial and error, and relentless curiosity.
My home became both a nursery and a studio!
What kept me going was sheer passion.
And perhaps most importantly, I was surrounded by silent strength. My in-laws, who stepped in when I had to step out. My husband has been my source of strength and backbone.
It all started with clients from my immediate circle. But the word of mouth and genuine appreciation soon helped my work reach a wider audience.
Today, I am not just a mother or a fashion designer. I am a woman who turned a long-forgotten dream into a living, breathing reality.”
