“In a world where melodies often fade into the background, we decided to turn the volume up. What began as a shared love for music soon transformed into a powerful vision. Back in 2008, India had no major magazine or platform that celebrated the evolving landscape of music. With television turning its focus to reality shows, we wanted to create something that truly represented all genres – an exclusive music platform that gave space to every kind of sound.
What started as a small coffee-table magazine in Chennai gradually grew into a national publication – The Score Magazine.
Over the years, we’ve covered every genre, featured both emerging and established artists, and even expanded into international music coverage. We gave a voice to those releasing their first track and honoured legends without ever dipping into gossip.
But music isn’t just about singers. It’s about the countless unsung heroes – sound engineers, audio technicians, and music producers – whose work shapes the art we love. Their stories mattered to us, too. Today, The Score Magazine stands as India’s go-to destination for everything music – from artists to gadgets to technology, from instruments to innovation – bridging the gap between the spotlight and those behind it.
Our journey has taken us places we once only dreamt of. We’re proud to be the only Indian magazine associated with major global trade shows across the Music, Instruments, Pro Audio and AV industries. Every milestone has been a note in our symphony, and we take pride in breaking news about technology and products 6 months to a year before their official launches in India.
We were business partners long before we became husband and wife, and that bond has shaped our work and our world. Through sleepless nights, tight deadlines, creative debates, and countless moments of joy, this dream became our identity.
In 2017, we expanded our creative vision with Score Digitally – our branding & marketing agency for content, video, and social media. It allowed us to extend storytelling beyond print and empower brands to find their voice.
Through it all, our family has been our anchor – our first critics and loudest cheerleaders. With our little daughter Samyuktha now joining us at every event, we’re reminded why we began.
If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s this – start early, stay curious, and trust the rhythm of your journey.
When passion becomes your purpose, life itself plays in perfect harmony.”
