“Have you ever felt there was more inside you than the role you were already playing?
For a long time, I did.
During my school years, I was extremely reserved and happiest in my own space. Speaking up did not come naturally to me.
That changed when I shifted schools for my 11th & 12th. I discovered a version of myself that could connect, communicate and bring people together.
By college, that transformation was complete. From being the quiet girl to someone known for humour and energy, those years reshaped my confidence.
Soon after graduating, I entered the corporate world as a software engineer. After moving cities, I chose to come back to Chennai with a WFH option even before the pandemic.
While the flexibility was convenient, it left me restless. I enjoy wearing multiple hats and I wanted to explore a lot. That curiosity led me to pursue a makeup artist certification.
I then worked backstage at a fashion show, but the lack of respect shown to makeup artists made me walk away. Self-respect has always been non-negotiable for me.
A while later, I got pregnant, eventually slowed down and after delivery, I focused on rebuilding my health through gym workouts, yoga and weight training. I wanted to give being a trainer a shot but chose not to pursue it professionally.
I also lived with keloids, which once affected my confidence. Reclaiming that confidence made me want to show that no condition can limit who you become.
By this time I had a lot of contacts in various industries and I knew that my spontaneity in building conversation was my strength. That clarity led me to podcasting.
I started my own podcast called ‘The Art Of Transformation With Sakthi’.
I built a young team and committed to purposeful content focused on entrepreneurs and business owners. I researched every guest deeply and ensured each conversation added value.
Within six months, my YouTube channel reached around 10k subscribers. Hearing listeners say the podcast gave them clarity made every effort worthwhile.
That journey opened doors to Behindwoods TV, Galatta Tamil and Zee Tamil.
My belief is simple. Start somewhere. Life is a boxing ring. Falling does not mean losing. Staying down does. Get back up, again and again.
The fire inside you already knows the way!”
