“Success does not always come from following the plan, sometimes it comes from daring to rewrite it completely.
I have always been drawn to design from a very young age, so choosing architecture felt natural. After graduating in 2018, I stepped into the corporate world and began working at a firm.
But as time passed, the environment grew increasingly stressful, and deep down, I knew I wanted something different. That quiet urge led me to baking. What started as curiosity soon turned into passion as I spent hours learning techniques online and practicing them consistently.
In the beginning, I shared my creations with family and friends, and their appreciation gave me the confidence to take a small step forward by creating an Instagram page called Pastries With A Twist, my very own cloud bakery.
Orders started trickling in while I continued working at the firm. My days were spent at work and my nights were dedicated to baking. One defining moment came when my colleagues were planning my CEO’s birthday celebration. I hesitated at first, but I gathered the courage to take up the order.
I created a large cake and a beautiful dessert table, and it turned out to be a huge success. For the first time, appreciation came from beyond my comfort circle, and that validation changed everything. The very next day, I resigned from my job, choosing belief over fear.
The journey was not easy. Orders were inconsistent, and doubts crept in often, but I kept going. It has now been seven years of building something I truly love.
Interestingly, a rejected visa for a patisserie course in Australia became a blessing, as it led me to discover another passion. My own struggles with weight and fitness pushed me toward understanding nutrition.
From fluctuating weight to losing muscle, I learned the importance of balance, eventually getting certified and building a healthy relationship with food!
Today, I not only run my bakery but also mentor others in fitness, weight loss, and nutrition, even helping restaurants design healthier menus. My fitness journey of 12 years has transformed into a meaningful business.
If there is one thing I have learned, it is this. When you listen to that inner voice and consistently act on it, there are truly no limits to what you can create.”
