“My name is Pranav, and my journey began in the modest town of Ranipet. I belong to a Tamil Brahmin family, and spirituality has always been a quiet thread running through my life. Art, for me, was never just a hobby; it was how I expressed myself and understood the world around me. I was never the academic topper, but give me a pencil and a blank page, and I’d find my peace there.
Losing my dad in my tenth grade changed everything. But my mom and brother became my pillars of strength. They supported me in choosing my career the way I wished. My family has always been deeply connected to the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation – a legacy my father left behind. Growing up through Balvikas, I learned values that still guide me today, and whenever time allows, I try to continue Swami’s work in my own small ways.
During the last phase of Covid, Tommy, my dog, came into my life. He became more than a pet; he was my silent companion. In moments when words or people couldn’t reach, his loyalty and love did.
My professional journey started with an internship at a digital marketing company called Jamoons Digital. Then came a start-up called Sweet Karam Coffee – a fast-paced space where I learned how to think quickly, adapt, and stay grounded. Later, I joined Nippon Paint, an MNC that shaped me further; where design became not just work but a reflection of who I am.
And then there’s Chennai, or Madras, as I love calling it. The city wasn’t easy on me, but it taught me everything about people, patience, and purpose. In its rush, I found rhythm. In its art and culture, I found belonging. Madras made me tougher, kinder, and more certain of the path I’ve chosen.
Today, I continue to grow as an artist and designer; still learning, still observing, still creating. Art gave me direction, design gave me purpose, and life in Madras gave me strength.”
