“I grew up watching my father build life with his bare hands. There were no shortcuts, no safety nets, just persistence. In Dubai, he worked long hours selling mobiles, saving every bit, dreaming of something more. When he finally decided to return to our hometown Ambur to start again, I couldn’t understand why someone would leave comfort for uncertainty. But that one decision taught me everything I needed to know about courage.
It showed me that life isn’t about holding on to what’s safe; it’s about daring to begin again when you don’t have to. He built not just a business, but a way of living, one grounded in honesty, purpose, and love for what you do. That’s what shaped me more than anything else.
When I started NURA years later, that same belief guided me. I didn’t want to just create a business; I wanted to build something that stood for trust. People often saw autos as chaos, but I saw people, drivers who worked hard and passengers who just wanted reliability. NURA became my way of bringing dignity, safety, and fairness to something deeply rooted in our everyday lives.
And through it all, Chennai has been my anchor. I came back here as a teenager, unsure of where I belonged, and the city made space for me. Its calm, its consistency, its quiet strength, that’s what I’ve tried to carry into everything I do. Because in the end, life isn’t about how fast you build; it’s about how deeply you stay rooted while you do.”
