“From Tirunelveli lanes to Dubai’s skyline and back to Chennai’s heart — my journey has always been about people. Because in this city, strangers don’t stay strangers for long.”
I grew up in Tirunelveli and moved to Chennai during my 10th grade. At first, the city felt overwhelming. I lived in Vyasarpadi for a while and people warned me about the area. But my experience was the opposite — it was the community there that helped me understand Chennai. They taught me that culture is not to be judged, it is to be embraced, and that people are the greatest assets this city has.
After undergrad I moved to Dubai, where I spent almost 7 years. Even while I was away, I kept hearing how Chennai was turning into a hub for entrepreneurs. When I returned, I decided to take the leap. In 2018, I started Go Stay Digital. My first client was a school run by a friend who pushed me to stop freelancing and start something bigger. We crafted a plan that worked, and slowly built our name.
During the pandemic, when most businesses were struggling, we found our footing. One of my boldest moves was sponsoring an event instead of just attending. That single choice opened doors to multiple clients and gave me a portfolio I could build on.
I moved from OMR bachelor pads where five or six of us shared rooms and lived like family, to Velachery now where I feel rooted. Chennai has become more than a city, it has become a habit.
I am a digital marketer, but really my job is simple — helping people find people. And in Chennai, strangers become friends before you even know it.”
