“All I wanted was a cleaner, safer home for my children. What I found was a purpose that lit up my life. From orange peels to a whole brand of my own, it has been a very rewarding journey!
After graduating, I moved to Chennai for work, with my office located in Chengalpattu. A two-hour commute each way left me drained and disconnected from the city. For the first year, I barely stepped out. But life shifted when my sister moved in, and I met my now-husband, who was then my colleague and friend. With them, I began to explore the city.
Work then took me to Shanghai for two years, followed by HR roles in Bangalore and Coimbatore. For a long time, we were moving between cities. That constant travel ended when my son, Aarav, was born. We chose to settle in Chennai to be near family and create a home. In 2021, I got admission into IIT Madras for my masters, right as I found out I was pregnant with my second child. Life became a whirlwind of work, pregnancy, and research.
My daughter, Avyuktha, was born in 2022. Parenting her awakened something new in me. I felt a deeper pull toward creating a safe, toxin-free space for her. In my quest to reduce chemicals at home, I discovered bioenzymes—natural cleaners made from citrus peels. I realised it was sustainable and healthy. I wanted to share my knowledge about building a toxin-free home.
Encouraged by my husband, I started making bioenzymes in batches, giving them to friends and family. The journey wasn’t smooth. Results varied and feedback was mixed, but I kept learning, connected with biochemists, and sourced better ingredients. We then created samples, and it turned out to be amazing. We then registered a company and started building our business from scratch.
That’s how Klin Space was born!
What started as a weekend project turned into a full-time calling. I left my job in February and upskilled myself in digital marketing. Alongside, I also launched an online community, “Mindful Moms Tribe”. It is a space for mothers to connect, share, and learn about conscious living and building toxin-free homes.
There’s still a long way to go. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that talent alone isn’t enough. It’s what you do with it day after day that truly creates impact!”
