“Some kids chase dreams. I chased pixels. And somewhere along the way, I found purpose.”
I grew up in Chennai, from the quiet lanes of Adyar to the breezy stretches of ECR. As a kid, I wasn’t glued to textbooks. I was glued to a screen, watching Counter Strike unfold in smoky gaming cafés. Sixth grade me didn’t have money to play, so I watched. Quietly learning, obsessing, dreaming.
By ninth grade, I was representing Chennai in national gaming tournaments. No one called it a career, but for me, it taught focus, instinct, and the thrill of creating something on your own.
College happened. No clear direction. I studied Electronic Media, floated through classes, and ended up with a job in Singapore editing wedding videos. It was good money, but my heart wasn’t in it. So I came back. To Chennai. To reset. To rebuild.
Then came the game changer. FPV drones. COVID gave me time, space, and silence. I invested everything I had into one drone. Taught myself to fly. Crashed. Repaired. Flew again. That thrill of flight, that feeling of freedom, it changed me.
Today, I shoot the way I see the world: raw, immersive, full of heart. I’ve worked on ads, sports, weddings, and yes, I train in the very activities I shoot just to understand the rhythm. Surfing, kiteboarding or even motorsports. I live it before I film it.
From buying and breaking several GoPros to now representing GoPro India in the FPV sector, it’s an honor to be part of this journey.
Chennai has shaped me. The sea, the chaos, the chance to begin again. It gave me wings.
And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this. Don’t rush to figure it all out. Keep exploring. Keep building. One day, your passion will catch up with your purpose. And when it does, everything will make sense.”
