“For us, Diwali is a very important festival. Because we get to meet our Annas and Akkas on this day. A few days before Deepawali, we will be taken to shops and we get to purchase our favourite clothes from shops. However, this year due to COVID, they had taken a list of our favourite dresses from us and purchased it for us. Apart from that, these people bring crackers and sweets to celebrate with us in our orphanages. Nothing comes close to celebrating by lighting sparklers and crackers at our homes. The air would be ringing with our happiness and cheer and this is one day in the whole year, when we forget everything and just get into the mode of celebration with our loved ones. Even though we may come from different backgrounds, we are united by our shared spirit to make the most of the life given to us. Here’s wishing everyone a wonderful and a happy Deepawali.”
