“Aravind and I met through a music band in April 2015.
He’s a drummer and plays the keyboard too. On the other hand, I’m a singer and a dancer.
We started dating in October 2015. Both our families have always been extremely supportive of our relationship.
But unfortunately, work kept us apart. We’ve been in a long-distance relationship right from 2017 till today. I moved to Mumbai for work and he was back in Chennai. I then quit my designer job to take up dance as a profession. That’s when I got to visit Chennai more often for work and got to meet him too.
During the pandemic period, our meetings became very rare and there have been months that I hadn’t seen him. In 2021, he moved to the UK to pursue his Masters.
Long distance wasn’t as smooth and easy then. Life taught us all measurable emotions and made us a pro at balancing everything that came our way.
After 1.5 long years of being miles apart from each other, we finally got to meet in June and decided to get engaged.
I thought I’ll surprise everyone by making him dance. It was his first time dancing ever, but I myself was so surprised to see him steal the show. The dance video suddenly became quite viral on social media.
He’s always been my number 1 support system and I’m so thankful to have him in my life. We’re extremely opposite to each other in almost everything, which is what I think makes our relationship so beautiful.
Happily with so many mixed emotions, we’re planning to finally get married next year.”
