“Our love story started in the most unexpected manner. We spoke for 10 hours straight on the day we exchanged numbers. The next day, he went on to confess his love. I was a little confused, but his conviction convinced me and it was almost an immediate ‘Yes’. There’s been no looking back for us ever since!

We constantly look out for crazy opportunities to surprise each other. Since it started off as a long-distance relationship, I remember craving to meet him often. Once, I even used my scholarship money to secretly book flights, to and fro, on his birthday, just to see him and gift him a ring. For another birthday of his, I planned for over a year, saved up a part of all my monthly earnings and gifted him a car. Seeing the happiness that gleams on his face every time makes all my efforts worth it.

I moved to Chennai, soon after, for my job. That was the first time I was away from my family and despite living independently in a new city, I never felt I missed out on anything. He floods me with so much love and care that it sometimes leaves me awestruck. In fact, for a brief period when I dealt with certain health issues, my mother got the opportunity to connect with him. Seeing how meticulously he took care of her daughter eventually won her over too!
