“I’m just 25, but I’ve 10-year experience professionally.
Yes, I’ve been drowned in learning computers, electronics, and technologies from the beginning.
My dad was so good at electronics which made us shop for some electronics during the Sunday market in Pondicherry. I was probably around 5 or 6 years old. He’s a self-learned person; so do I. Being a curious kid, I kept asking millions of questions about everything mechanical that I saw.
We kept exploring electronics which made me a child prodigy in handling computers way before I became a teen. All I know in this world is my family and the technologies back then. During my college days, instead of being on the class bench studying, I put my time into working onfield with many organizations to resolve their security issues. I learned to defend a company from cyber attacks.
When my dad taught me how to work, my mom taught me how to live! My parents always allowed me to choose what I wanted to do.
That’s how I gained interest in spreading awareness of cyber crimes to students. Meanwhile, I was also interested in meeting new people, educating them about everything I knew, and discussing the next tech-happenings.
During my 1st year in college, my dad and I approached as many colleges as possible to provide an awareness program or a workshop. I met many friends who later became my well-wishers in my professional life. I was the first to initiate the cybersecurity event (Pondicherry Security Conference) and entrepreneurship event (Startup Pondicherry) in Pondichery, even before the government knew such events existed. Not just these, but there were so many events, workshops, and hands-on programs that we organized.
I dropped out of my college degree once I started my own company – Primefort. We work with some of the top hackers across the globe. And also take care of billion-dollar companies. I started handling multiple business transactions and helping companies with their digital security. Meanwhile, I also hold different other verticals, such as a digital marketing company – Optimex, and a coffee brand – El Mejor Coffee, with a wonderful team who takes care of everything that the brands require.
I’ve addressed around 2L+ students educating them on cyber-attacks & prevention approaches, delivered 1K+ talks nationally, and anchored my presence in the media by educating people on the cyber attack. Gradually, ‘Sriram’ became one known name, familiar among the cyber security field community globally.
Throughout the earning process, one thing that rules my mind is that ‘money is not anybody’s asset; it’s just our time to spend it’. Anything can happen to anyone at any time; it’s better to keep oneself subtle and warm.
Since my parents were never restrictive, I also developed a mentality to help my friends, cousins, and everybody around me to grow in their professional life. I don’t basically consider it as a ‘help’; I desire collective growth, which I cherish and enjoy.
I explored my happiness in educating and giving back to society, in my own way!”
