“I became a theatre artist and gave wings to my dreams.
I am an extrovert who loves communicating and connecting with people. I found my love for the stage during my college. I was involved in performing street awareness programs and a lot of traditional art forms in Chennai.
Eventually, from watching theatre shows to joining a theatre group, I kickstarted my theatre journey.
Theatre and acting are not just any hobby to pursue, they give us many lessons. When we perform a certain character, we live that character and if there is immense love to act, the emotion comes naturally.
Since both my brothers are in the cinema industry, I had a considerable amount of exposure to the mainstream entertainment world. Maybe, that made me focus more on the fieldwork, by getting into common people’s minds and hearts.
I learnt the scope of how to practically approach people to address basic societal concerns, create documentaries on community issues, and develop humanity-based ideologies. The documentaries in which I put my heart and soul fetched me to discover a lot of unnoticed stories.
We also take classes for social work students and also for children who need to be educated. Having ‘working for people’ as one of my passions, I have planned to invest my knowledge in educating the society around me and explore all that the earth has for me.
When considered the entertainment industry, how would a person not face any struggles or challenges! It happens! But fades away quickly based on how much we allow our heart to take in. Most times, anxiety is what keeps disturbing me, but on the other hand, I can never carry hatred for more than a time. I try to communicate and talk out my problem to the concerned person. Problems are everywhere but half the problem is solved when we know exactly what the problem is. I think I have defined myself in a way that nothing affects me unless given more attention.
Earning isn’t my major goal, but bringing back moreeee love and humanity is!”
