“It all started with my dad passing away with stage four cancer. I still remember him being in unbearable pain and before leaving, he asked me to take all the property and put it to good use. And from there started my life long love affair with helping humanity and my second big love, cooking! I joined a school as a teacher and started to take care of a small group of kids with cancer by cooking for them every day. Slowly, this panned into a more nuanced brand for my cooking skills and I started to blog my recipes and started to create a brand presence everywhere. But it pains to see where all of us collectively stand with respect to marketing our brands on social media. Youngsters these days hardly understand the value of hard work and they pay to get fake followers and float their way to the top. I was kind of appalled when a well-known brand asked me if I would do a brand collaboration with them where I would be expected to wear a sleeveless blouse. This has become the state of things and we are partly to blame for it as well. I don’t identify with this culture either am I willing to let go of my values for the sake of money. I wish to reinstill the fact that, hard work always pays and we need to pave our own way into this world. Sure there is hardwork but when we persevere long enough, we will definitely succeed.”
