“I have always believed in the power of words. They can heal or hurt you, depending on who wields them!
Growing up, I was an introverted, naive child who did not have a huge circle of friends. I was usually quiet and kept my thoughts to myself. With time, however, the feeling of loneliness crept in and this is where my life had hit a low point. I felt out of place amongst my peers, and remember being taken advantage of, occasionally.
But like they say, ‘there is always light at the end of every tunnel’. Writing was exactly that! It became my therapy. Although I hadn’t discovered my flair for it until college. My first ever piece was a note on my phone around 2013. I tried putting it out on social media, hoping that it could help other people going through something similar. To my surprise, it was well-received and since then, there has been no looking back! It amazed me that my words resonated with so many individuals. I get messages, till date, from people who tell me how much my posts have helped them steer through tough times. It is this unmatchable feeling that keeps me going.
It was also around this phase that I realized that being different isn’t a bad thing. It fuelled me to cherish my uniqueness and instilled in me a sense of confidence, that I earlier lacked. Today I write on different genres and have made it a point to not create any sponsored content. The intention is to promote positivity and hope. Money has never been the aim! That is also the reason why I never force myself to write or maintain a schedule and do it only when I feel like it! My goal is to publish all my writings as a book, someday in the future. As for now, I focus on giving back to the community that made me blossom into a better version of myself.”
