“This entire process of the matrimony has got to be one of the most taxing experiences of my life but once you have braved the battle of crossing it, it seems like a rite of passage. We started the process of searching for a groom for me in the year of 2015 and it would go on for another five years before I could meet my husband. But these five years were a testing period where I had to meet a lot of people and go through phases of rejection, dejection and also depression. At the verge of giving up, a miracle showed up at my doorstep! A request which was pending for a long time from their side showed up and upon doing a little background search on facebook, I found out that my husband was a best friend to my best friend’s husband’s cousin. It seemed like it was destined for this to happen and upon meeting him for the first time, we got engaged to each other as well on the same day. As an ardent follower of my faith, I also took a leap of faith under god’s will and the rest as they say is history. For all the pain I went through during this process, it seems like it was all worth the wait because I couldn’t have found a more perfect person. Now, in retrospect, it is nothing more than just a mere memory because the journey ahead looks so promising and fulfilling for me. For all the times I decided to give up, I am glad that I persevered despite my best intentions because, where I am now, I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”
