“Pravin and I began our journey of founding oneDOT with a conversation at a restaurant following his return from the UK. He was determined not to go back, which became the driving force that motivated us both to leap into our well-paying corporate positions. Even now, he’s the spark, and I’m the fire!
The incident in my former workplace – where my team had neglected to renew the domain of an exporter, leading to the client’s website crashing and losing business – marked the beginning of my conversation with Pravin. We acknowledged the need for a better process to avoid similar events and discussed digital solutions for B2B SMEs. It was obvious that the bigger agencies offering digital services might not be an economical option for these small companies due to their limited scope of business, and half of them didn’t have any sales teams to help them.
The B2B SME industry primarily comprises listing portals that only fulfil the most basic digital needs, creating competition between these sites that ultimately yield little revenue. As a result, it was important to become their extended digital marketing arm.
We knew it would be difficult when we first decided to enter the B2B arena. We were new to the entrepreneurial landscape, and our tasks ranged from recruiting and keeping personnel to garnering customers and inspiring trust. We were fortunate enough to acquire clients who could trust us and reliable staff members who gave their all to their respective customers. These long-term associates are now our biggest advocates.
We have grown exponentially over the years, with a 50-member team, 400+ clients, and completing over 1000 projects. As we look ahead, we are very clear to do the best with what we are good at.
We strongly are in favor of the quote ‘தெரிந்த தொழிலை விட்டவனும் கெட்டான். தெரியாத தொழிலை தொட்டவனும் கெட்டான்’.”
