“From a very young age, I was not very good at studies. Due to this, I had faced a lot of insults in my school, my coaching centre and even my family. It so happened that during my 3rd grade, I was affected by viral fever which led me to take a break of 3 months. A gap was created and I had to drop out of school.
As we were pushed to join another school, I gave a couple of entrance exams but alas, I couldn’t score the minimum marks too. I still remember that day clearly – the principal of that school flung the answer sheet on my parent’s face and told us that I was not fit to study even in a government school.
It was a hard couple of months after that. We were trying in multiple schools but finally, I received an admission from an ICSE school. The syllabus was way tougher than all the other schools that I had studied in. But here is where my mom and dad stood as rock pillars by my side. They stood by me and believed in me. I discontinued from tuitions and put all my efforts in proving myself here.
And then a true turning point occured in my life. I discovered the autobiography of Thomas Alva Edison. It was as if I was meant to read that book because his life story felt so personal to me. This set me down a path of discovery. I started picking up book on self motivation – from a few Tamizh books to finally landing on ‘The Secret’ movie. They all aided me in pulling myself together and making the best of my abilities.
I emerged a school second in my 10th boards and bagged a total of 94% in my 12th boards. My goals were much bigger than my current living standards. Through merit, I got selected in Chrompet Women’s College. I manifested everything about my dream life through the principles that were laid down in the Secret movie.
As my graduation drew to a close, I figured that I didn’t really want to get into a salaried job. I wanted to own a business and spread my work all through the world. I remember a statement that I penned in my notebook – “I want to create a business that would operate worldwide.”
And so, it did happen. Today I am successfully running a life coaching business named ‘Genuine Happiness’ and I train students from across the world. I’m doing the job I love the most and I’m earning a living by enabling people to become their best selves; helping millions of people connect to their higher dreams and goals. And the journey has just begun. I can’t wait to see what other surprises life has in store for me.”
