“Music to me has always been something that was a part of my life. I was naturally drawn to beats and I could pick a rhythm from anywhere. One time, it so happened that standing next to my Tamil teacher I was playing the rhythm of a procession that was crossing our school. My teacher notes this and propelled me to look further into it. So I was pulled in for one of the assembly mornings where I was asked to sing a song. I chose ‘Ovvuru Pookalume’ and it received a standing ovation from the entire lot. I knew then that I had to pursue this actively. I enrolled for piano classes in an institute which later on became home tutoring under the same teacher. I started writing original songs and composing music for the same. This led me to work on an interesting project with a film director but it unfortunately fell through. So deciding to take things into my own hands, I started composing original songs and releasing it on my YouTube Channels. I am currently a performing musician who’s also writing and composing original scores. The only motive that helped me through this whole process was my faith in myself. Even when there was noone to back me, I stood my ground and did what I had to because I knew no other way other than doing what I loved doing. And it has come to pay well today and I’m glad I didn’t give up.”
