“The CSR initiatives of most companies are an amazing effort from the entire organization to give back to the society. I have seen multiple organisations come forward to make a significant difference in this world. Similarly, at our organization, we had this unique project of celebrating Christmas with a cause. Tying up with a NGO, this Christmas we decided to go the extra mile to collect wish list items from each kid.

Each kid was allowed to pick a wish list item of their own. We compiled it into a list and asked each of our employees to pitch in to buy one item from the wish list. Within no time, one by one, all the members came forward with the gifts and one of us dressed up as Santa and wrapped the presents.

As the office was spruced up with the colourful Christmas decorations, we placed all the presents near the tree. And on the day of Christmas, we visited the orphanage and distributed all the gifts to the kids. It was a beautiful thing to watch these kids relish the presents they received.

Nothing can compare to the joy of giving and what better occasion than a festival to make it even more special. While festivals are a way for us to sit back and enjoy, it is the only day for these kids when they get to indulge in their fantasies a while. Our humble plea is for everyone to take a step forward to give back in however a small way that you can.”
