“Hi, I’m Aarav, a 6-year-old boy who found his passion at the age of 4. It all started when my parents introduced me to the world of Silambam and Parkour. At first, they were a bit hesitant, unsure of whether I was too young for such activities. But as they witnessed the joy it brought me and the dedication I showed, their hesitation turned into enthusiasm, and they became my biggest supporters.
In addition to Silambam and Parkour, I explored other activities like Table Tennis, swimming, and dancing. However, it was Silambam, Table Tennis, and Parkour that truly captured my heart.
It wasn’t always easy, especially since I was just in 1st grade, but I learned to balance both my studies and extracurricular activities.
My mom became my academic guide, ensuring I completed my homework and stayed on track with my studies. Meanwhile, my dad, already a sports enthusiast, became my motivator, pushing me to achieve more. Thanks to my incredible coach, who saw potential in me and constantly encouraged me to dream big, I began participating in tournaments and competitions.
Unlike many kids my age, I’m not allowed to spend hours in front of the TV or playing mobile games. Instead, they opted for classes that not only kept him physically active but also ignited my passion for Silambam, Table Tennis, and Parkour. It turned out to be the best decision they ever made. I discovered a whole new world of skills and abilities within myself.
I have won 3rd prize in a Silambam state-level competition and participated in various tournaments. But this is just the beginning. My parents continue to encourage me to aim higher, dream bigger, and strive for greatness in whatever I choose to pursue.
I am sure I’ll again be invited for an interview with Humans of Madras after a decade.
Here’s to dreaming big and reaching for the stars!”
