“Like most people around, I joined Engineering as well.
But…
I discontinued college during my 2nd year. Or I can say that I was given TC because I had arrears all around.
Life took me aback. But that period of my 1.5 years in college, made me realize my interest in photography and events.
It was my birthday, and my ex-girlfriend gifted me a camera. She decided to pay for the camera via a mortgage, which was, back then, a huge effort.
Little did I know about myself then, TIME healed those empty blanks.
I joined Visual Communication and started freelancing on Photography & Videography on one of the popular TV channels. I did not leave behind any opportunities that came my way. Kept the fire burning that I wanna become some person in the media field; it may be a photographer (which I’m more fond of now), videographer, entrepreneur, event manager, or organizer.
When I completed my degree, I started working as a Photographer for one of the National magazines. A person isn’t supposed to work in two different organizations/channels simultaneously. This hit me hard by limiting my work to only one brand.
However, I have had experience in all the major channels and magazines, holding an experience in Photography for more than a decade now.
Years later, when the concept of a YouTube channel inspired me, I started one in Pondicherry – Sarakku Kadai.
I come from Cuddalore, and Pondy is just 20 km away, which made me take Pondy as my resting destination. Most time, I stay in Pondicherry.
I realized that there’s such an organization or channel that exclusively appreciates the inspiring people of Pondy. And that’s why I planned to start one a couple of years back.
From being a proud student of Mr. Karthik Srinivasan, I’m so glad to own my own Photography agency – LP studios. Besides that, I founded an event management company & an ad agency.
The process seems to be smooth enough, but I would never have become this person without the love and support of my friends and family. A huge thanks to all those who pushed me to become who I’m today.
Life might not seem to move in your expected direction initially, don’t loose hope!
Keep working on your dream, but before that, take time to find the right goal. That’s half success attained!”
