“I’m a fourth-generation jeweller from Chennai, carrying forward the legacy of Shri Palsani Jewels. Our story dates back to the early 1920s, when my great-grandfather migrated from Rajasthan to Tamil Nadu, bringing with him a love for craftsmanship that continues to define us today.
Though we are Marwaris by origin, Chennai is home. My father and I were both born and raised here, and the spirit of the city has deeply shaped who we are. Our business now has two core verticals—manufacturing jewellery for retailers across India, and retailing through our boutique store on College Road.
Growing up around jewellery, I didn’t think much of it—it felt normal. I studied finance, pursued a corporate career in Mumbai, and thought I had found my calling. But life had other plans. During COVID, I returned to Chennai and after exploring other industries, I found myself drawn back to my roots.
Jewellery is not just about ornamentation—it’s about tradition, memories, and moments. Festivals like Akshaya Tritiya, where buying gold is seen as welcoming prosperity, remind me how deeply jewellery is woven into our lives. Every piece tells a story—of beginnings, of milestones, of hope carried forward.
Today, I manage operations, marketing, and customer relations, while finding my creative space in a business I once overlooked. Whether it’s crafting thousands of designs for clients across India or custom-creating a bride’s first set of jewels, the joy remains the same.
Chennai too has been my biggest teacher. Though there was a time when I dreamt of other cities, today, it’s this city’s warmth, resilience, and quiet ambition that I’m grateful for. From Rotary projects to Chettinad meals, Chennai has stitched itself into my life.
As our brand evolves—launching collections, creating experiences, and embracing new traditions—I’m proud to carry forward a legacy rooted in trust, craftsmanship, and community, while dreaming bigger with every new chapter.”
