“Why settle for just one goal when you have the drive to chase many?
For most people, managing multiple goals can feel overwhelming, causing them to lose focus and miss opportunities. Yet, I’ve discovered that it’s possible to stay focused while pursuing diverse ambitions.
This mindset has propelled me to take bold steps across business, community work, and even personal development.
Growing up as a tennis player had an undeniable impact on the person I am today. At first, tennis was just a sport my father encouraged me to take up, and I remember it feeling like more of a duty than a passion. Little did I know, this sport would shape my character in ways I could never have imagined. Through tennis, I learned how to manage pressure, handle both victories and defeats, and build a mental toughness that has stayed with me throughout my journey.
The lessons learned on the court weren’t just about winning matches, they were about preparing me for life itself. And for that, I will forever be grateful to my father.
Today, I am a Director at Land and Lands, a thriving real estate company, and I’m also the proud owner of Seven Yards, a clothing brand for women. While business has always been a passion, it isn’t where my heart lies exclusively. I realized that true fulfillment comes when you create an impact that goes beyond profits and personal gain.
That’s when I decided to take the plunge into something bigger: social responsibility.
I founded the Vajra Foundation, a collaborative NGO initiative born out of a love for animals and a passion for environmental preservation.
The foundation is a fusion of two important causes: “Dogs of Coimbatore” and “Clean Coimbatore.” The former focuses on dog population management along with rabies eradication and awareness, while the latter focuses on keeping our city free from potholes and promoting responsible waste management.
As an animal lover, the “Dogs of Coimbatore” initiative is especially close to my heart. I’ve seen firsthand how much community dogs suffer due to neglect and lack of proper care, and I knew I had to step in.
Many people ask, “Why should I bother when I pay taxes for the city’s upkeep?” It’s a valid question, but I believe that change starts with each one of us.
If everyone took the initiative, even in small ways, together we’d make a monumental difference in our community.
Building community is at the core of what I do, which led me to another passion project – the Women Networking Club. As a female entrepreneur, I recognized the challenges women face in business, from balancing family duties to navigating the business world’s complexities. So, I decided to bring together like-minded women from five states to form a community where we could exchange ideas, share resources, and support one another’s growth. The club has no membership fees; it’s open to any woman who has the will to succeed. It’s not always easy to get women to commit to networking groups, after all, they juggle so many roles in their personal lives. But once they’re in, the sense of empowerment and mutual support is unmatched.
Traveling is one of my greatest joys, and I’ve visited over 30 countries. However, during my travels within India, I encountered a major challenge: inadequate sanitation facilities for women. It was frustrating and, at times, dangerous. This gap in infrastructure sparked a new project: a sanitation initiative in Coimbatore aimed at providing accessible, clean, and safe facilities for women. While the product is still in R&D, my ultimate goal is to make it available across India.
Recently, I was honored to be nominated as the Convenor for the Indian Women Network, the women’s wing of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
In a world full of complaints and inaction, I’ve come to realize that the key to making a difference is simply to take that one extra step. Each of us has the ability to contribute something meaningful to our community. A single act of kindness, an initiative, or even just lending a helping hand can set off a chain reaction. You don’t have to wait for others to take the first step, you can be the spark that lights a fire. Your actions, no matter how small, can inspire others to do the same. And when a community starts moving together, change happens.
Whether it’s through business, charity work, or community engagement, I believe in the power of action. It’s about being the change you wish to see in the world. By leading with action, you inspire others to follow suit. Before you know it, that initial step snowballs into a movement, a ripple effect that can alter lives in ways you never imagined.
So, let’s stop waiting for someone else to make things happen. We all share this world, and it’s time we took ownership of it. One action at a time, we can create the change we want to see.”
