“Most of our impactful relationships are formed during our college days and my case was no different. We are a group of four members who came together to pursue education at an institution that has in turn paved the way to starting a venture of our own. All of us were pursuing different corporate careers of our own but destiny had a different plan for us.
Our initial idea for a business was to start a pet service that would allow for the healthy propagation of breeds and also divulge into pet nutrition, on-call veterinary services etc. But we couldn’t proceed further with that idea so we decided to enter into the essentials market – food. Diary as we all know gets the biggest market share compared to other essentials and when we couple it with sustainability, we understood that we could make something here.
We launched our brand in October of 2020. What started with a supply of 8 litres of milk has now grown into 2500 litres of milk. Our vendors from Chitoor supply us the milk which is then processed, packaged and home delivered to our customers in the city. We ensure to pay our farmers fair wages which will not fluctuate with time so we have earned their trusted loyalty. Also, our customers are concentrated in specific areas in the city but there is a trust that we have built with them.
We have a long way from where we started but it came with the willing support of all four of us. We had to spend many days with the farmers to understand their struggles and to even gain their trust. We have set up stalls at multiple places where we offer free samples to customers for trying. Offering samples has helped us increase our retention rate as the retention rate is currently at 98%.
For the four of us to leave our corporate careers to pursue something off the beaten track did not come easy but I am glad that we persevered through this. With time, we are looking at expanding our operations to different cities as well.”
