“I started to feed dogs when the lockdown rolled in. Seeing them suffer without food and other essential means tugged at my heartstrings and I began to feed them chicken scraps that I used to collect from meat shops. After feeding the dogs, I used to leave the leftovers for the crows. What started with a few of my street dogs has grown to over 50 dogs in total. I can’t go for a day without feeding them because they would be waiting for me eagerly every day. And in case I fail to go visit them one day, they would come searching for me and in turn, pick fights with other territory dogs. It’s become a commitment of a lifetime for me, one that I do with my utmost gratitude and respect. Even when I walk by them on the streets, they would follow me until the time I give them some attention. In today’s day and age, I feel all of us should take up some social responsibility on behalf of society. We have hardly to lose anything but in return, we earn the love and adulation of these beautiful creatures that we space with.”
