“I was handed batteries, bulbs, and wires early in my childhood. That’s when the spark ignited and attracted me to electronics. My dad being an electrical contractor, I had access to all sorts of electrical toys and tools.
Rather than playing with my toys, I was more curious about what was inside and how it worked. This interest grew as time passed and I found something more interesting when I was a teenager.
The tech of the smallest nature that is creating bigger impacts is nanotechnology. The very idea of it attracted me and I went on to do engineering in nanotech. Though it was theoretically proven, its practical applications were yet to be explored and utilised. I perceived this challenge as an opportunity and grabbed it by its throat.
Without much funding, I started my own nanotech firm when I was twenty years old. My professors and seniors were walking encyclopaedias. I got to learn a lot from them as I started digging into the industry.
I manufactured reactors and other electronic R&D gadgets for tech firms. Clients within the country and some even from South American countries kept me going with my work.
Now I own more than six startups across various fields supporting one another and keeping my love for nanotech alive. I did not need any factors affecting my independence and the creative process of this work. This made me keep my company to myself without letting many investors in.
I believe mark sheets are mere gate passes into institutions. Passion and interest are what matters. With genuine interest, even the smallest ideas can create groundbreaking differences, just like nanotechnology!”
