“What if the true mark of strength is not how you act when things are easy, but how calmly you rise when everything is at stake?
At this point of my life I feel like I’ve faced almost every possible challenge life could throw at me. Thriving under the pressure is what sets me apart from the rest.
Being raised by a single parent, my mother wanted me to have a secure future so I had to opt for a professional degree. They said EEE is a very challenging degree to complete and that’s exactly why I went for it. I worked in several business sectors after graduation. Construction, Banking and BPO are a few among them. I got to know the psyche behind running a business.
What started as an idea from a friend has brought me a long way ahead now. I started One Stitch Designer House in 2021 after quitting my job. Though I didn’t know the ABCs of stitching when I started, I took care of every other aspect of the business. Market study, business analysis, marketing, you name it.
The best way to deal with stress in business is to segregate those problems. There are only three possible categories for this – Physical, Financial or Mental stress. Now that you’ve categorised it, it’s easier for you to deal with them separately!
The most powerful thing I did for my business was staying calm, even when everything around me panicked, because clarity lives on the other side of calm.
My biggest strength is that I put my one hundred percent into whatever I do rather than focusing on my competitors. I have had several setbacks where I was on the verge of closing the business. Giving up was never an option for me. I took it one day at a time.
It wasn’t just luck or talent that got me here, it was simply showing up and not giving up, even on the hard days. If I can keep going, so can you!”
