“The predominant curiosity on why certain topics are often brushed under the carpet was the emotion that got me into penning my thoughts. Though I didn’t have an infallible mastery over any language, I felt the intent to write was far superior to being fluent in a specific tongue.

With time, my social handle transformed into an outlet that helped me release all the baggage in my heart. I had gone through a phase of major trauma back in school and these social snippets were the bolsters I picked myself up with. The platform soon after, became a vent to let out all my bottled up feelings and question certain existing mindsets.

And after witnessing a growing response to my posts, I realized the influence, my thoughts had with the viewers. This completely changed my motivation! Now I don’t care about the number of likes or followers, but even a single ‘save’ makes me feel like I have impacted someone positively.

Additionally, this hobby has shaped me immensely as a person. It has broadened my horizon to multitudes of perspectives on life and made me aware of my emotions. Today, I feel people connect with my posts instantly as I pour my entire heart and soul into it! Of course, there have been others who give me flak for discussing uncomfortable ideas on social media. But again, I believe healthy discussions here, lead to large scale realizations, thereby igniting a positive change, one person at a time.

Occasionally, I do get requests from both genders to write about subjects that are considered taboo or simply disturbing. Some of them have risen from varying degrees of abuse and want to spread the message of hope through my little platform. I agree to them as I feel strongly that no topic is a bad topic! And as for the technical aspects, I proofread using apps or even send them to fellow language aficionados.

With time, I wish to touch the lives of people, across India, through my words. After all, everyone has a part to play in making the world a better place, right? And mine, I strongly believe will be through philosophy and perspective over traditionally forbidden topics.”
