“Success is rarely a straight line. It’s a winding path of challenges, growth, and unexpected turns. For me, it began after graduating with a degree in Corporate Secretaryship. With no prior experience in sales or marketing, I ventured into a field that was unfamiliar but full of potential. I embraced every opportunity, learned on the go, and eventually discovered that I had a natural talent for it.

My journey took me through various roles in India before I transitioned to the Middle East, working with a luxury automobile brand. It was there that I met Kannan, someone whose path was as unique and driven as mine.

Kannan completed his Bachelor of Science from the prestigious St. Joseph’s College. He began his career running a lending library – an early sign of his entrepreneurial spirit. His career progressed when he joined Dabur as a medical representative, managing the South Tamil Nadu region. Eventually, he transitioned into the luxury automotive industry, working with high-end brands such as Lexus in the Middle East. His leadership and vision later brought him back to India to manage the launch of Mercedes-Benz in the country.

Our connection grew over shared experiences, values, and aspirations. What started as a professional relationship soon evolved into a deep friendship. Over time, we realized we both envisioned a future where we could build something meaningful on our own terms. That vision led to the creation of Shrestha Business Solutions (SBS).

SBS HR was founded with a mission to provide innovative, intelligent HR solutions to businesses. We knew the space was competitive, but we believed in our ability to deliver value through expertise, adaptability, and a people-first approach. Our greatest test came with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Industries were disrupted, hiring slowed, and traditional work models were upended. But instead of retreating, we chose to evolve.
We accelerated our investment in HR technology – digitizing recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and performance management to support a rapidly changing work environment. SBSHR became more than a service provider; we became a strategic partner helping organizations navigate transformation with confidence.

There were moments of uncertainty, times when returning to the comfort of a secure corporate job seemed tempting. But Kannan’s unwavering belief in our vision kept me grounded. His support reminded me why we started this journey in the first place.
Looking back, I am proud of how far we’ve come. We took a risk, stepped out of our comfort zones, and built something that reflects our values and purpose.
