“There were thousands of youngsters who pursued Engineering without any reason. I was one among them. I took up Chemical engineering for bachelors and Petroleum Engineering for Masters degree.
For my master’s, I went to Germany and continued working there for 2 years. During this period, I developed a passion for fitness. To further understand my knowledge regarding fitness, I joined the American Council of Exercise (ACE), which is a personal trainer certification.
After a while, I returned to India and discovered that my parents wanted me to get into the corporate IT lifestyle. As they wished, I joined Amazon and worked there for more than a year. When my 8-hour shift ended, I spent 4 hours in the gym working out and training others.
Exercising relieved me; it helped me overcome many physical & mental roadblocks, and I wanted to help others experience the same results.
Looking at my persistence, my parents finally agreed to me switching career paths. In the past 5 years, I’ve got to work in some of the leading gyms in Chennai. The exposure & experience I gained helped me understand various types of clients, their needs, and my ability to cater to them. I also keep educating myself on a daily basis.
Besides training, I occasionally quench my thirst to win as well.
I’ve won district gold in powerlifting and National gold in Kettlebell. I explored myself and ultimately helped my clients by trying out different forms of fitness.
When the pandemic began, I started exploring online training as well. Though initially, I found it difficult, now I’m able to train clients across the globe. My mission is to educate women about the benefits of weight training, understanding their own bodies, their relationships with food, and work around their period cycle. This will transform them into a lifestyle that is more efficient & effective not only physically but also mentally.
I strongly believe in setting new goals at every phase of life & working towards them consistently with patience.”
