“The first few baby steps are most influential and powerful in any entrepreneur’s life.
After earning a degree, I joined a Gym as a Branch Manager. I was both a Gym freak and a Foodie.
I consistently loved tasting a variety of food combos. This food discovery made me think about starting a restaurant. However, I desperately wanted my restaurant to keep moving and not be stagnantly fixed at a place.
And then the concept of Food Truck hit me.
When I told my circle, I only heard this word – “NO”.
There’s always an undesirable fun in achieving what others think we can’t succeed in.
I was after a different kind of thrill. But, simultaneously, I was so much determined to start my business like how I dreamt it to be.
Luckily, while working, I saved some amount and, of course, lent some from my dad.
During the lockdown, I cleared some of my space in my house and hired a chef. Fortunately, we had loads of time to try on different food varieties. I was a fan of Momo, so we started preparing 15 different types of Momos.
Everything was a trial and error. Finally, despite many negatives & blunders, we obtained the taste factor that will pull in many people.
I believe in starting before being ready because things will always find a way to come together if we work hard.
Food Truck wasn’t an easy thing. The journey of building a food truck was complicated, and a lot of effort must be positioned rightly to market it. The most challenging part was to get permission to park my truck in a specific area.
I desired to have my Food Truck near the beach. And thus, I focused on satisfying all the influential people near the beach area to land my truck. Having a food truck at the beach road sets an identity to my business.
We’ve completed one successful year of ‘The Momo Truck’.
Though I get calls to start a business franchise, I would like to hold it for a while as the Brand Taste should be adequately implemented.
I wish to maintain the same flavour and texture throughout all my franchises.
I believed in my idea, and my dream drove me through a journey which ended up with a successful entrepreneurship life.
No matter how many voices shout ‘NO’, the only voice your dream should hear is YOURS.”
