I’m 10 years old now, but I fall for one thing so often.
Books, they are!
I’ve read more than 500 books so far and reviewed 150+ books, some of which you can check out on my Instagram handle.
My mom is a lawyer, and my dad runs a brand consulting company.
My interest in reading books started at the age of 1. My mom and dad used to read me some books when I was 3 months old.
Among the 1000s of books from my very own home library, I have enjoyed reading a variety of genres, from fantasy to comics to adventure to thrillers to books on empathy, refugees, racism, disability, and so on. Not just books fascinate me, but any art forms that involve creativity captivate my heart and mind.
I learn rock and pop vocals, piano, doodling, gymnastics, and K-pop dance which keeps my younger self alive and fresh. When I grow up, I’m pretty strong that I’ll have a dozen paths to choose from and will keep my horizons towards happiness and success much wider, vibrant, and satisfied.
Book reviewing began as a hobby under the COVID lockdown circumstance, which asked us to stay indoors. Since the classes were online, I was doomed to hold the phone and laptop for hours. My mom suggested that I start writing when I was unoccupied by my online academics.
As parents, they take all measurable steps to make my lil’ brother and me better humans. From showcasing values to educating on taking care of oneself independently, we were used to all the conversations and discussions, which makes us think a step ahead.
Reading books expands the thought process and gives an opportunity to learn about lived experiences. My parents always say that books make humans evolve into better beings.”
