“My son, Ishaan is an Inline skater for the past 5 years. He is 7 years old now and had participated in the National level Skating tournaments along with a couple of other competitions as well.

Being a single parent, I have had challenging phases in bringing up my child into a successful, happy and kinder human. I’m still working on it, however, things have settled down much better compared to the previous old days.

Setting my life aside, I want my son to be a part of any sports or athletes. I noticed he liked skating and football. However, football did not last for a long time. Having his age and mentality in mind, I decided to move every single step very watchfully and mindfully.

I’m an IT professional, working for more than a decade in Chennai. I was into kickboxing previously but having my life turned around, I was pushed to situations in order to drop those gloves down.

Initially, I would allow him to participate in whatever he wishes to work on and later, after his teens, I would always want him to decide the best for him. He’s always attached to me from the infant stage and thus, our bonding increased even though I shadowed his mother phase as well.

A big salute and thanks to his coaches Mr.Vijayaraj and Prashanth from the Skating Kids Academy, who are moulding him from age 3.

Though being a single parent is tough, my son makes me comfortable and own all my happiness. I’m blessed to have him in my life and I take pride and responsibility in making my son shine!”
