“My journey to becoming a dermatologist wasn’t easy. I had to face a lot of challenges along the way. One of the biggest challenges was balancing my studies and personal life. There were times when I felt overwhelmed and wanted to give up, but I didn’t. I reminded myself of why I started this journey and how much it meant to me. More than me, it was my mom and grandmother who wanted to see me as a doctor.
I remember the day I got accepted into medical school. I was over the moon. I knew that this was just the beginning, and I had a long way to go. Medical school was tough, but it was worth it. I learned so much, and it prepared me for what was to come.
After completing my MBBS, I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a dermatologist. I was fascinated by the skin and how it worked. I wanted to help people with their skin problems and make them feel confident in their own skin.
I did not let the fear of the unknown stop me from chasing my dream. I did extensive research and took extra courses in dermatology to expand my knowledge. I was determined to become the best in my field.
There were times when I doubted myself and my abilities, but I kept going. I refused to let fear and self-doubt hold me back.
I had sacrificed a lot of movie times, outings, and happy moments but I’m more than happy where I’ve made myself sit. I get to help people every day and make a positive impact on their lives. Seeing the smile on their faces and the gratitude in their eyes is worth all the hard work and sacrifices.
I’m basically from Gujarat but I’ve settled in Chennai and I must say that Chennai has been so heart-welcoming. Though I’m not fully aware of the language, I strive hard to learn and help people around me. I am currently a dermatologist and a cosmetologist at Welona Clinic in Chennai.”
