“I started selling flowers from a tender age of 10. I come from a family of 6 sisters and this business was handed down to me from my parents. We have been doing this for more than 50 years and this stall here has become my permanent workplace. My life revolved around my parents and till date, I strongly believe that it is their blessings which has brought me through all the hurdles in life. Like during the one time, I lost my elder son to a fatal disease and this brave front I continue to put on to get through this testing period of losing my husband’s mobility to an accident. Life has put me through some of the toughest storms and each day is a trial of sorts but there is no time for me to mope around. Having seen hardships from a very young age, I don’t falter or stagnate with hurdles and circumstances. I have always looked up to my parents for guidance and they continue to give me the strength to push forward in life despite all the struggles. Being a strong believer of god, I make it a point to visit the temple twice a day! And since this temple is quite famed in the city, I become privy to all the festivals and celebrations held there. While the competition maybe increasing, I know that as long as I am able, I will be able to sustain myself and provide for my family. I have utmost faith in myself and my hard work to push through this life with a brave smile!”
