“Education did not drive me to where I’m currently; experience did!
I was less than an average scorer, considering the formal way of education till my Diploma.
During my 2nd year, I met a couple of amazing people – who mentored & guided me throughout the initial stages of my official journey. I started volunteering with Mr.Padmanaban & team in spreading awareness on wastage of food and other necessary topics which children must know.
At 18, I visited schools & colleges; communicated with the students/staff over there; understood their challenges in grasping the idea of WHY, WHAT & HOW. I am inclined toward the concept of ‘skill-based learning’ & I preached the same on most occasions.
People around me used to mock me for doing social work all day a week and navigating my life from the same angle. However, I was so satisfied & happy. There were times when I had no proper food or shelter and ended up sleeping in bus stands.
As we all know social work would not pay us money but bestow us with experiences and exposure; it took a while for me to realize this fact.
At 21, grabbing all the experiences & knowledge that I have had, I decided to start my venture in 2018. I did not do an MBA to start a business, but I learned the way to mould my path. Experience is all that matters!
Unfortunately, after a couple of years, the business did not go great. So it was all shut but my fire on business and entrepreneurship did not slow down.
In 2021, Veg Route began its journey – with the help of my well-wishers & investors. From having only 20 customers initially to holding 2 lakh consumers, everything was built with so much hope, confidence and research. I believe that failure is a part of the learning curve.
Being the poorest in math, and operations and having no idea how marketing works, I stepped into each section and drove my entire focus on learning each of them. However, I’m still not an expert but I am a good observer.
I had no proper educational background, zero financial help, and refused to study ahead – but a successful entrepreneur, employing 70+ people for my business, which runs in 5+ cities across India.
When you start early, you succeed early!”
