“I was an adopted kid. I lost my dad, had to leave school for a bit, and even my relationship went sour. It felt like the world was saying “no” to everything. But guess what? That “no” just pushed me to a whole new “yes.”
With medical reasons prompting me to leave my 10th-grade studies, I started on a different path, diving into a diploma course in Airport Management. It was a leap of faith, but one that led me closer to my passion. And then, an opportunity arose to pursue a multi-cuisine course, offered by the government for free. During this time, I found myself working in the institution’s office offering the course. It wasn’t just a job to pay the bills; it was a stepping stone towards my dreams. Despite the challenges I faced, my parents stood by me, never once doubting my interests or passions.
A failed relationship and the weight of stress and fear led me to seek solace in Chennai. At first, the city seemed overwhelming, a place where I struggled to find my footing. But with time, Chennai became my shelter, my new home.
I have always loved to travel, explore new places, and lead the way
I did a basic mountaineering course in Uttarakhand. Scaling those peaks not only tested my physical strength but also boosted my confidence. I started traveling.
At 23, I launched my own travel agency, Shivani’s Travel Tribe. Before venturing into the world of travel, I spent time as a trek leader and even worked at Decathlon. Each experience shaped me, molding me into the person I am today.
Through it all, I learned a valuable lesson: fear should never hold you back. Society may try to dictate your path, but it’s your strength and determination that will ultimately guide you. So, embrace your passions, listen to your heart, and don’t be afraid to start once again. Restarting is also fun!”
