“As an entrepreneur straight out of college, this has always been my philosophy on how to approach anything in life.
There are some life-altering conversations that just don’t allow you to be the same person you’ve been before. What started as a light-hearted catch-up call with a dear friend turned into a deep conversation about our aspirations and dreams. He’d always wanted to become a filmmaker and was having a hard time getting a break in the industry while supporting his family financially. It was taking a toll on his mental health and he was running out of the will to pursue his passion.
That’s when I realised, the definition of success and self-worth is often connected to materialism, fame and stability today. But what if we attach all of them to learning? I wanted to create a space that reduced a lot of the barriers that people have for learning what they’d truly love to. We needed local role models and heroes in India to inspire and help bring about the next generation of Leaders in Inda, in the Language that they are comfortable teaching.
More than 85% of all content consumed in India is vernacular – why isn’t there any passion-based learning experiences available in the same way? Why are all the existing alternatives so poor in quality and lack credibility?
I set out to make sure that anyone and everyone in India has access to Genius. In order to discover their passion, or to get better at doing what they love. It’s been an exhilarating experience working with Karthik Subbaraj, G Venketram, Anthony Gonsalvez, DRK Kiran and Ravi Basrur to bring LevelUp Learning to life. When we filmed these learning experiences, it was a mountain of responsibility to make their lifetime’s worth of knowledge available to anyone that wants to learn and truly LevelUp their Careers.
I thank all of them and all of the exceptional and brilliant people who have been a part of making this truly world-class project to life. I hope this brings value to you, the learner, and we will work twice as hard to make your learning experiences even more engaging, affordable and accessible.”
Here’s to enabling India to #DiscoverGenius
